Homeschooling while pregnant and on bed rest ๐Ÿ˜ž

Found out recently that we are adding another girl to our family! Lily-Rain will have a litter sister.

So far she’s been nothing but excited wanting to help out when the baby gets here, teach her stuff, play at the beach with her etc. Lily-Rain even helped my husband & I pick out the baby’s middle name.
Been a pretty rough pregnancy including bed rest most of the time with doctor saying I shouldn’t spend more than 60 minutes a day standing a walking due to being such high risk.
So been making the most of that short time going to the beach/ waterfall/playground taking Lily-Rain to ukulele class, sea turtle watching, hula class, live music, Butterfly Conservatory, Home Depot’s woodshop and if the time of day is okay Co-op classes.

Been learning about butterflies for the past few days so went to see how they go from caterpillar to butterfly.

Since we have been spending a lot more time at home we’ve been doing a lot more at home stuff not just workbooks and whatnot but science experiments,LOTS and LOTS of reading, crafts coloring( we just started doing a letter and hawaii-based word a day coloring book), DVDs, practicing sign language throughout the day instead of speaking and doing a couple I guess you would call it unit studies about butterflies, the human body (heart and blood for past few days) and the Magic School Bus worksheets and experiments that each go with a episode.

A little identification puzzle type thing about flowers

A lip balm making science kit although we used soy wax

Sandpaper letters ๐Ÿ˜€ these things normally cost a fortune found them at Goodwill for $3!

Although I definitely feel like a not-great-mom since we’re not doing as much as we used to in any given day I am glad she’s still very happy, healthy and learning.
